ABA Group Admissions to the Supreme Court Bar

Pre-Sunrise group portrait of admittees to the Supreme Court Bar, prior to being sworn in before the day's session. This may seem like a simple shot, but I show this to illustrate the multiple challenges one has to keep in mind, including the critical timing imposed by the fact that the sun is about tho rise directly behind the court, potentially flaring my lens. To successfully capture this shot, I get down very low, composing to make a nice 8x10 print, then I radio trigger an off camera, battery powered strobe to add brighten faces, and adding separation from the background and depth to the image.
